In order to support the ongoing operation of the Pine-Richland Crew organization, we rely not only on individual registration fees but also on fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Many people ask…. Why do we fundraise?

Rower registration fees support the operating expenses for the team such as bus transportation, coaches' salaries, boathouse rental, general equipment maintenance, etc. 

The registration fees do not cover the purchase of boats, oars, boat lights, cox boxes, safety equipment, travel vehicles for races, etc. 

The only way we are able to fund the purchase of additional boats and oars or to replace boats, oars and other equipment is to raise money through our fundraising events. On an ongoing basis, the crew board and coaches review our equipment needs while seeking out special deals on equipment that meets our needs.  

We have many fundraising events throughout the year to help to support this growing club sport.  Thesee include dine-out events, large fundraising events and sales.
